What do treatments entail?
Initial Treatment Series
This is referred to as a “START UP SERIES.” It consists of 3 consecutive treatments over a 36-72 hour period.
Though a horse may not be technically injured, regular training and exercise create physiological stress on the body and create a controlled inflamatory response. The body's healing process occurs in three overlapping phases—inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling—each with unique biological demands. Because healing is a continuous process, a series of three appropriately timed treatments is intended to support the body's natural repair mechanisms throughout each stage. Repeated treatments reinforce cellular communication and help promote homeostasis, allowing each session to build upon the effects of the previous one. Studies have shown that specific microcurrent applications can increase ATP production while supporting protein synthesis, amino acid transport, and membrane transport. This cumulative approach is designed to encourage more sustained tissue adaptation and recovery than a single treatment alone. For this reason, it is recommend an initial series of three treatments within a 72-hour period to establish a foundation for continued healing, rehabilitation, and performance
The treatments in this series are meant to address the entire body, starting with what is called a “Spinal Opening.” This protocol entails stimulations along the spine using specific frequencies to target the spinal cord, where the nerves originate. The following treatments focus on opening the front end and the hind end to prepare the body for more targeted treatments.
Targeted Treatment Protocols
After the initial start up series, we can commence with targeted treatments to specific areas in need of attention. This is where we can apply different frequencies, micro-current polarities, and utilize specific tools and accessories to achieve optimal results for the intent of the treatment. Concentrated treatments offer advantages over broader regional treatments where there is a clearly identified injury or dysfunction, because they allow therapy to be concentrated where it is most needed.
