The Electro-Acuscope and Electro-Myopulse therapy systems are 1 modality comprised of 2 instruments. They both use micro current technology and a biofeedback system to provide non-invasive, therapeutic benefits. Both Acuscope and Myopulse are FDA approved to treat neuromuscular and musculoskeletal conditions, and pain management, in both humans and animals.
The Acuscope is the main component of this micro current therapy system. The Acuscope works directly with the Central Nervous System, using a square waveform to create indirect access to the rest of the body. Though it works primarily with the CNS, the acuscope also addresses the Peripheral Nervous System, and some models will attempt to normalize the Autonomic Nervous System.
The Myopulse is the secondary component of the therapy system, providing direct access to the soft and connective tissues (i.e. Muscles, tendons, ligaments, facia, periosteum) using micro current. This instrument uses a curved waveform to give direct access to these structures of the body, in order to monitor and normalize the electromagnetic field surrounding them.
Micro current is low voltage/ low amperage, and is equivalent to what the body generates naturally.

Because micro current is the same level of electrical current naturally occurring in the body, it can recognize the level of current and respond to treatments more efficiently, replenishing the body to a balanced state that is required for self repair.

The Biofeedback System
The biofeedback system allows the instrument to internally adjust the current output to what the body needs at a cellular level, during the time of treatment. This eliminates the risk of overstimulation, which can cause damage to the nerve endings and soft tissue fibers.
There are 3 parts to the Biofeedback System.

Biofeedback Loop
The biofeedback loop is created between the horse and the instrument in a continuous loop, creating an electrical circuit. Through this circuit, cellular information is gathered from the treatment area; Point A (positive) to Point B (negative), and transmitted to the instrument’s computer.

Computer Circuitry
The computer circuitry is the preset calibration within the instrument - programmed with norms for cellular function in either humans or animals. It is here that the information gathered from the treatment area is processed and the current sent out has been adjusted to what the body requires to obtain a balanced state.

Infinitely Variable Waveform
The flow of electricity is delivered in an everchanging direction, known as an infinitely variable waveform. The infinitely variable waveform allows for a non-fixed output, which eliminates the risk of overstimulation.
The biofeedback system creates reciprocal communication between body and instrument, and internally adjusts to achieve homeostasis within the body.
Treatment Programs & Options
The Electro-Acuscope and Electro-Myopulse instruments are FDA approved to treat neuro muscular and musculoskeletal conditions, and pain management.
Clinical trials for FDA approval showed an accelerated recovery rate of 50%, at minimum, showing scientific evidence that Acuscope and Myopulse therapy assist the body in healing itself.
